About Karen Ball
Having spent the formative years of her life in Williamsburg, Virginia, Karen boasts a true appreciation for the history that marks the Charlottesville area. She first came here to attend the University of Virginia and quickly fell in love with the neighboring landscapes and energy the city has to offer.
Following a graduate degree in Higher Education Administration from UVA, Karen has promoted the beauty and life of Charlottesville and the university to countless prospective students around the world as an Assistant Director of Admissions at the Darden Graduate School of Business. Her passion and work ethic are evident in all that she does and present great value to her clients.
Karen has been with Loring Woodriff Real Estate Associates since its inception in 2007. The firm has been a catalyst for Karen to quickly rise to the top 5% of realtors selling the larger Charlottesville area. She was awarded Charlottesville Area Association of Realtors' 2008 Rookie of the Year as a result of her sales volume and community involvement. Karen is currently pursuing her EcoBroker designation to better serve the interests of her clients.
In her spare time, Karen can be found walking Downtown with her black lab, playing tennis, hiking, traveling and enjoying most anything with friends, wine & cheese. She also takes a special interest in giving back to her community and serves on the CAAR Operations committee and through her church and the Junior League of Charlottesville.
My Client-First Philosophy
There are many qualities and skills that go into being an excellent real estate professional - integrity, in-depth community and market knowledge, marketing savvy, effective negotiation skills and a high-quality professional network, all of which are hallmarks of how I work.
That said, in my experience as a Charlottesville real estate professional, I've also found that providing the very best service is essentially about putting my clients first. This means keeping myself accessible, being a good listener as well as a good communicator, and responding quickly to your needs.
This "client first" philosophy has always been my approach and it requires me to continually improve my skills and ways of doing business. In addition, I've found that the latest technologies are enabling me to do everything I've always done, only much more quickly and efficiently. They've also helped me to extend the range of services I provide to my clients.
So when you decide that you'd like to buy or sell a home in the Charlottesville areas, please contact me.
